SETTINGImage one
The top image is viewed from the west looking to the east. It is the opposite side of the canyon where the first native character is looking towards in the beginning of the story. It is a lush and flourishing forest that is full of life and looks welcoming and peaceful. It is a large forest, so some areas may not be seen in detail like the foreground. For the most part it remains in the background, but it is obvious that this is where the natives want to be at.
Image Two
Below the first image, this one in the middle shows how it looks from the opposite side. We are looking from west to east toward the forest. The ground is punctured with swamp pits and the trees look as if they have been cut down by loggers. Only small weeds grow on this side of the canyon, that and a few pebbles scattered here and about in the image. This does not appear to be a place that is desirable to stay and in fact, some effects to further emphasize the eerie feeling like a fog or a permanent mist would help. Some shadows beneath the waves or even just the tops of the heads of the creatures would work.
Image Three
This is a simple some what of an aerial view on the location that the native girls are at. he blue cross is where the first is located. The second green cross is where the other native girl is. The largest pool is in the northern direction, while the the canyon and the other side that has the forest are on the east. Most of the piece will be viewed in this section. The background will have hills and mountains in a moderately overcast afternoon in a warm climate.
